Haute Chinese
An ugly row of shops in Stillorgan is the unlikely setting for Dublin’s most acclaimed Chinese restaurant. For two decades the Hui family have set remarkably high standards in a remarkably drab dining room. Ask for the smoked duck with aubergines in a ginger and garlic sauce – or simply ask the chef to pick something for you – and you will understand why people-who-know say this is the best show in town when it comes to Sichuan cuisine. Service is rarely memorable.

Hi.
Re. Sichuan I fail to see how it is acliamed for much. I'd tried to book a cou[ple of times in past few years but they were booked out. I went with Mum and two brothers. The decor, as you say, is truly crap and reflects their disinterest in investing ANY money in the place. The food was also truly forgetable. Everything was about on a level of any 'bog standard Chinese restaurant from 15/20 years ago'. Pricy for what you get and nothing to recommend it.
