Veg Out
If you’ve ever walked into Deirdre McCafferty’s dinky vegetarian joint, taken one look at the queue and walked back out again, you’ll be happy to hear that after 20-odd years, Cornucopia is expanding. By early-2010, it will also occupy the first and second floors of No 20 next door. Queue up behind Green Party TDs and credit-card hippies for the veggie breakfast (around €8), a legend in the neighbourhood. At lunchtime, even carnivores are tempted by hulking specials that normally include a curry, a baked dish and a pasta (around €11 including a choice of salads) – all homemade by head chef Tony Keogh. Pick up a copy of Cornucopia at Home on the way out. We did. Bitchin’ scones.

I'm a vegan and this is the best around! Its a pity its not bigger as its always soo busy. The healthy, meat-free, tasty grub is worth it, however.

The dish combinations are nothing short of brilliance, and you always walk out feeling healthier than when you walked in. The staff are always very friendly, and although it's a bit too popular for its size at the moment, it's going to be expanded this autumn!

If you are a vegan or vegetarian this is the best place in Dublin, by far! Great menu with loads to choose from and the portions are a good size. I usually go here for breakfast and the blueberry pancakes are to die for. Great atmosphere and good value for your money.
