La Dolce Vita
Eileen Dunne and Stefano Crescenzi moved to Ireland from Rome in 1999 and set up a shop selling fine Italian food and wines. Their business grew to include two restaurants in the city centre, this one in Sandymount, and interests in gems like Nonna Valentina and Bar Italia. They are fans of the slow food movement: it’s all about relaxing and enjoying quality, authentic food and wine in a distinctly Italian atmosphere. The Sandymount branch is often packed – don’t let them put you upstairs. The menu is short and disjointed, with tasty seasonal dishes and Italian classics like caprese salad (one of The Dubliner’s top ten meals for under €10) and hearty bean stew. Slightly chaotic.

it tastes just like the real thing. The staff are lovely, and you can drop in anytime for coffee, a quick bite or a full meal.

It's relaxed, fantastic wine, great food and not bad on the pocket either! perfect for sat lunch with the girls! And IF the sun shines, it's nice to sit outside and watch people and the world go by!!
