Veteran Pizza Joint
It’s surprisingly hard to find a decent mid-range bite in the city centre: we can’t count the number of times we’ve stood scratching our heads on Grafton Street, surrounded by sandwich bars and cafés that are packed every lunchtime for no good reason. Thank goodness for Gotham. Sit inside and pinpoint when it all went wrong on the Rolling Stone covers that line the walls. Or sit outside amid the shopping madness: see it all going wrong live. Very baby-friendly – too much so if you have a hangover – and lovely staff. The pizzas are just fine. We like the Midtown: spicy and thin with mushrooms, red onion, baby corn, sweet peppers, garlic and mozzarella (€11.25).
