Time for a call to arms, friends. For more years than we care to remember, Shiva Gautam and his team have been providing good-quality Nepalese nosh at Monty’s. I mean, the Momo (€16)? Dumplings so special you have to order them a day in advance? That alone is enough to justify our plea: go to Monty’s. Go early, go often. They’ve been hit by the current gloom like everybody else, but after a massive renovation to their Temple Bar premises, they may need the support of Dublin’s foodie community more than most. So don’t just call up the Indian takeaway – head into town and make a night of it. Monty’s won’t disappoint. And make sure to try a Shiva beer. Their own beer! Come on!

Best value for money in the city and food is yummy too.

Let's face it, to anyone who hasn't been to 'the roof of the world' this is an Indian restaurant. As such, it's not bad.
