Killer Wales
Ever been to Holyhead? Apart from the ferry port and a nice pick ‘n’ mix, there’s not much going on there. So Welsh fans of good food have found themselves hopping on the ol’ StenaLine and taking the 90-minute trip over to Dun Laoghaire, and straight into the Purty Kitchen. That’s what manager Dallan d’Estelle Roe (excellent name) tells us anyway. Apparently our Celtic brothers love their chowder (€5.10), but we do too, so maybe Dallan’s not making it up... Last year we included the Temple Bar branch in our Top 100, but since they’re now introducing more food from the Dun Laoghaire menu, we’re going to switch allegiances. We’re flighty like that.
