Now call me a slave to convention, but spicy food and cold beer does it for me every time. So the first thing I do is order a big bottle of the icy brew. Then I scan the menu, only reading items with two or more chilies next to their name. King prawn red curry and another beer please. Thank you. I’m reminded of Predator. It’s the combination of sitting underneath a fake plant that seems a little jungle-like for this town and the unshakeable sense that we’re being watched. “Another beer please,” muttered under my breath… delivered in nanoseconds. We share a selection starter plate, which has a bit of a mystery-meat thing going on, but that’s nothing extra sauce and a swig of beer can’t fix. Not bad. My curry is good and spicy. I’ll be back. My fiance and I are regulars at this restaurant and as I am a coeliac, they seem to understand the illness and are able cater for my gluten free diet and not leave me feeling like the odd one out. Many places will not have specific meals listed on the menu which are suitable and will just advise you to have everything without sauces etc. which usually leaves you disappointed and with a bit of dried up chicken, meat or fish etc.so not very enjoyable!
I find the menu here great, the food delicious and with lots of choice so not left with limited options and feeling disheartended on my evening out.
My only complaint would have to be, that it is very hard to get a booking as it is always so busy!!
