Belly Good
If there were awards for marketing restaurants, Gerry Kochanski would win them every year. Gerry always mounts a campaign to win our People’s Choice award, and Vermilion’s high ranking is a testament to the loyalty of his customers. The restaurant itself is above a pub in Terenure. When it opened a few years back, critics gushed about the Indian-fusion cooking. The dining room still feels swankier than your average Indian, and the toilets are particularly impressive. We hear mixed reports about the food, but Kochanski could well moan about how representative our own sample is... statistics, eh? Not, then, Dublin’s best Indian, but a popular choice nonetheless.

The decor & ambiance is stunning. The staff are efficient & courteous without being cloying. The food is consistently excellent. I have brought numerous business clients from the UK & USA & all have been very impressed. The usual comment is "When will Vermilion open in London, New York etc.."

good food, pleasant service - and lovely surroundings (and yes, the loos are superb !). Vermillion serves the kind of Indian food I like - tasty without being so full of chilli that you lose all ability to taste after two mouthfuls (tho' the chilli junkies can have the dishes hotter if desired). With the addition of the Fusion dishes, it also caters for the non-Indian lover in any party - so a good choice for all occasions.

If you like traditional real Indian food that is full of flavor and spice then dont eat here. Thought it was a bit over priced and not the real thing.
