Son of chipper
This restaurant set in the fulcrum of Blackrock village is the posh spawn of the much-loved chipper next door. The recent travesty of Starbuck’s moving into the old Post Office building in this SoCoDo village has done nothing for its reputation as a foodie hero either. Enrico’s could have been the restaurant to change all that, but we were left dissatisfied by our experience. Two glasses of house white would have made a Blue Nun blush and the food wasn’t all that great. The seafood salad (€10.50) was average; the pizza was a soggy disappointment, especially considering it’s an Italian operation. On the plus side, grab a window table and enjoy bitching at the parade of messy-haired, orange-faced young women in slouchy ‘tracky’ bottoms and Ugg boots. Blackrock, you have a lot to answer for. 40-42 Main Street, Blackrock, County Dublin. 283 6500
