First and Foremost
Two rather important things stand out about this place: the food and the service. Waiting staff are not only friendly, but downright knowledgeable about both the menu and the wine list. (We’ve tried to catch them out...) Good training, it would seem, by John Farrell and Anita Thoma, the passionate co-owners who take care of front-of-house and head chef duties respectively. Some people find the menu a challenge, according to Anita, because it’s just so simple – homemade pastas and risottos (the best in Dublin, says Tom Doorley), meat and fish dishes made with uncomplicated, authentic Tuscan ingredients. Book a table downstairs for maximum fun.
