Cake Expectations
It's a truism that in the service industry, the little touches make all the difference. Nowhere is this more obvious than at the Cake Café. Hot-water bottles on the terrace, mismatched crockery, quirky decor, smiling staff, home-baked delights... Everyone who finds it, loves it – and everyone who loves it, thinks they’ve discovered a hidden gem. In the winter, the hotpot (€8.90) or homemade beans on toast (€5.80) will warm you right up; when the sun is shining, it’s Prosecco and a lemon slice (€2.20) on the terrace. Excellent for a first date when you’re aiming to impress. And once you’re finished impressing? The Cake Café will bring Breakfast in Bed to your (D2 or D8) door for just €3.50 delivery.

This place is just too cool for school. I had breakfast here one time that was inedible. The bacon was off and making tea seemed to be a major problem. For posh tea and cakes I guess it's OK but isn't that what your granny is for?
