Hot sister
A sister of Anderson’s Glasnevin, this creperie tries to look 1930s Art Deco but we think it achieves 1970s Star Trek instead – that’s why we love it. Amusing decor aside, it truly is the business. Most crepes are made from buckwheat and are healthy in an earnest kind of way, but it’s not all healthy pancakes – charcuterie and cheese plates are as good as those in the Glasnevin branch. The addition of jazz trios and singers some evenings are welcome in a neighbourhood that relies more on chart music and gargle for its cultural output. This month, on Wednesday 19th at 8pm, the Patrice Brun Trio play contemporary jazz with the smouldering lady on tenor sax. Tickets are €10. Book well in advance. As in now. 1A Carlingford Road, Drumcondra, Dublin 9. 830 5171
